Cathy Pashley is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the property operations industry. She completed her Certificate IV in Property Operations 22 years ago and has since become a “Life Member” of the Strata Community Association Queensland (SCA Qld). Cathy has dedicated many years to serving on the Board of SCA Qld, contributing significantly to the organization’s growth and development.

With over 15 years of service to SCA Qld, Cathy has played a pivotal role in the education and continuing professional development of its members. As a member of the SCA Qld education committee, she has been instrumental in delivering and assessing the Certificate IV in Property Operations to Queensland members for eight years. Her enthusiastic attitude towards the industry has greatly benefited her students, who highly regard her for her knowledge and passion for the role of a Body Corporate Manager.

In 2022, Cathy sold her business to Bright and Duggan Property Group and served as their State Manager for 18 months. She then progressed into the Relationship and Growth area of the company, ensuring that her wealth of knowledge and insights into the industry are shared with Resident Managers, clients, and developers to increase the benefits of their communities.

Cathy’s commitment to the SCA (Qld) is evident in her active involvement and strong advocacy. She ensures that the association stays abreast of Body Corporate legislation changes, law tribunals and appeals, and dispute resolutions affecting bodies corporate through the Commissioner’s Office. The SCA maintains close liaison with the Resident Unit Managers Association, Unit Owners Association, and unit owners in general.
